Breast/Chest Feeding in a Carrier

Nursing in a carrier isn’t a hands free task, but it can become a one handed one! Freeing you to move around and get on with your day, while ensuring your babies needs are responsively met.

Its possible to adapt most types of carrier for nursing by looking at the principles of carrying safely, and how to support your babies back, and maintain airways.

This workshop explores ways to comfortably nurse in carriers such as stretchy wraps, woven wraps, close caboos, ringslings and structured carriers.

If you have a carrier, bring it along with you! If you don’t, or would like to try something new, then come along and use one of ours. We have plenty, and they are available to borrow from the library with a membership

Experience

Laura is an ABM Probationary Breastfeeding Counsellor however this workshop is not intended to address specific issues in an individuals breastfeeding journey. If you would like one to one support with that, then we encourage you to book an appointment directly with Laura at Close To My Heart Services.

Take It Away

Bring your own carrier, or combine this course with our Introduction to Baby wearing course, or membership of the sling library, to take something away with you.

Workshop attendees are eligible to discounts on a range of carriers from our partners if they would like to try them out.
